Nike and Stüssy reunite to transform the Air Max 2013, reworking the sneaker with an emphasis on details.
Nike and Stüssy have held a long and fruitful partnership — one which has resulted in many archival classics reworked through the SoCal label’s laidback lens. Now, the two are back with another from the Swoosh’s vast line-up, bringing the Air Max 2013 under the spotlight.
The sneaker retains the techy aesthetic of the original, though there are some subtle alterations that elevate the overall aesthetic. The uppers on this black pair, for instance, are crafted from an engineered mesh that features a gradient effect across the underlays, which moves from vibrant shades of orange and yellow to pink at the heels. The Swoosh, meanwhile, is reversed, with a larger version on the lateral side and a smaller iteration on the medial. There’s a double helping of Stüssy branding, too, with a co-branded logo at the tongues and larger script at the sidewalls.
