Born in 2020 from the eye of Auckland designer Joshua Heares, the brand continues to shape its vision from the city it calls home. After a decade spent in advertising and design, Heares felt the creative itch to build something of his own. 

Each collection evolves from the last, creating a wardrobe built on intention: modular, wearable, and grounded in the pillars of being ‘Refined, Disciplined and Enduring’. With a natural pull toward silhouette and fabrication, Porter James clothing offers an understated yet contemporary interpretation of menswear classics. Logos are left off the agenda; quality and simplicity take their place. Influences come from everywhere, but the brand’s Kiwi upbringing remains woven through every piece.
