INTRODUCING: NANCY

London-based Nancy was founded by Sam Hughes in 2019, borrowing heavily from DIY punk scenes of the 1980s.

Nancy

Nancy was founded in 2019 by London-based skateboarder, Sam Hughes: a key figure in the London skate scene and a stalwart of Supreme Soho, where he now manages and has worked for years. The brand serves as a reflection of both his interests and personal style, sitting at the crossover of multiple different genres with like-minded attitudes; DIY, punk and grunge, to name a few, all serve as reference points, culminating in a label that’s experimental and irreverent.

The label draws heavily from the do-it-yourself styling associated with youth culture movements in the 1980s, with graphics and details that reflect that rebellious approach to dressing.

The graphics used by the label nod to the eclectic tastes of its founder Sam Hughes, with everything from retro horror movies to nostalgic cartoons referenced. Though the approach is eclectic with Nancy, the overall sensibility remains consistent — one that champions a rebellious and free-spirited approach to styling.
