Heritage craft methods play an enormous part in the design language of Gaku Tsuyoshi’s FDMTL. Naturally, then, that love of tradition is brought to the forefront in the label’s ongoing partnership with Vans Vault. Take this version of the iconic Sk8-Hi — it’s coloured entirely in shades of indigo blue, just like usual with FDMTL, and features traditional detailing throughout, from distressed, boro-style patchworking at the uppers to sashiko stitching at its Jazz Stripe.
