Giving the Converse Thunderbolt the Vince Staples treatment, the American rapper is back, presenting a star-studded drop that’s ready for a world-wide tour. Almost looking like a prototype, the Thunderbolt Ox steps onto the street with a mesh base overlaid with contrasting stitching in black and white. Sandwiched between lies Converse’s signature star branding in a silvery grey construction, while Staples’ signature ‘SEA’ trademark lines the insole and a metallic ‘Run’ print dresses the heel. Underfoot, comfort is key. Lifted onto a signature sneaker base, the Thunderbolt Ox sees springy foam for enhanced cushioning, while a traction-fuelled rubber sole completes the stage-ready look.
