After Mark Gonzales first put his skateboard-inspired spin on adidas’ Superstar back in 2020, the pioneer of modern street-style joins forces with the athleticwear brand once again - following the same structure and adding similar playful touches as before, only this time switching up the colourway. The original Superstar design surrenders its usual three-stripes – which are substituted for happy and sad iterations of The Gonzs’ favourite “Shmoo” character. Embellished in suede upon the sleek leather uppers, the patches are crafted from smooth nubuck and placed asymmetrically over the silhouette - via overlapping multiple panels - while the printed outlines of the “Shmoos’ shine with a different colour on every patch.
