For SS18, Lanvin gives us too much information
In a world that is obsessed with technology; the highest trending app, gadget and social media platform - Lanvin’s Lucas Ossendrijver chose to embrace and engage this season.
Offering a multi-faceted collection that explores a variety of different menswear genres; a modern matrix of bold graphics, eclectic prints and deconstructed military silhouettes walked the runway, hinged together by Ossendrijver’s chaotic vision that the modern generation is obsessed with knowing everything.
It’s about the way we get information, the way we need information, nonstop.
And he’s right. “Enter Nothing” suggest Lanvin’s pieces, and we should listen. Printed atop the tailored construction of an authentic Coach jacket and the athluxury of his sweats and tees, Mr Ossendrijver marched his models down the runway in a multitude of relaxed vacation shirts, athletic streetwear, and detail-focused designs; paving the way for fashion in this technically-fuelled generation.
