Gustaf Westman’s homeware is what happens when Scandinavian design lets loose. Founded in Stockholm in 2020 by architect-turned-designer Gustaf Westman, the brand’s chunky ceramics — including cups, jugs, plates and candle holders — look like they’ve been plucked straight from a dream.

Each piece is simple in structure but rich in personality: “It’s very few elements that create the object, and it’s always built upon an idea” Gustaf says. Inspired by the Memphis Group’s rebellion against modernist restraint in the 1980s, Gustaf’s designs feel like they’re still in motion, curving and continuing with softened edges and curvaceous forms.
