END. X ON CLOUDHORIZON

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, END. enlist Swiss running specialists On to collaborate on a bespoke edition of their lauded hiking shoe: the Cloudhorizon.

Embarking on their debut partnership, the two brands blend their DNA to deliver a footwear style that encapsulates On’s unparalleled performance capabilities and END.’s charismatic aesthetic outlook. Heading out into the picturesque and almost-otherworldly wilds of the Yorkshire Dales, the brands worked with land artist duo strl_ to create a performative walking project, entitled Weightless Traces, and wear-test the Cloudhorizon hiking sneaker.

“The idea of working with the landscape itself as a sculptural aspect has been key to this project. From the start, with or without physical intervention, we had ambitions to creatively reframe a unique part of the British rural landscape, through use of movement, film and image.” strl_

Constructed with an upper made from a combination of suede and recycled materials, the Cloudhorizon shoe is brimming with technical features designed to allow you to overcome the unpredictable nature of the great outdoors with ease. Rendered in an Ivory and Leaf colourway, pale green hues detail the mudguard and On branding to the shoe’s sidewall. Printed branding sits proudly to the suede tongue and heel pull tabs, while a toggle lace closure adds security and efficiency. The shoe’s upper, meanwhile, is covered in a gradient that subtly shifts from green to off-white, gesturing towards the heel, which is made complete with debossed END. branding.

On’s premium Swiss engineering is concentrated into the shoe with patented CloudTec Phase™ and Helion™ superfoam cushioning ensuring that every step is comfortable and optimised for hiking, while their Missiongrip™ rubber outsole provides exceptional grip on wet and dry surfaces.

Supremely lightweight with a pillowy feel underfoot, the END. x On Cloudhorizon collaboration embodies the brands’ dedication to industry leading design and a progressive attitude to product.
