Celebrating 50 years of the PUMA Suede, this sportswear heavyweight looks to artist and toy-maker Michael Lau to make this iteration the best yet. Introducing the Sample Suede, the designer duo take inspiration from sneaker prototypes; fitting the signature silhouette with serrated zig zag details throughout to promote the unfinished aesthetic. Tonal suedes follow through on the industrial influences – boasting debossed branding and “NOT FOR YOU, ONLY FOR ME!” typography across the textured uppers. To the heel, Lau puts his stamp on the sneakers with an ‘L’ and ‘R’ depicted in Chinese characters, while a rubber sole unit delivers traction and classic PUMA style.
