Watch: "Martin Margiela: In His Own Words" Dives into the History of the Infamously Secretive Designer

Slated to release on 10th April, Reiner Holzemer's documentary takes an in-depth look at the influential label with self-commentary from the notoriously camera-shy designer.

Delivering a rare insight into the world of Maison Margiela, a new documentary from Reiner Holzemer looks to shed a light on the influence and dominium the brand has held over the world of fashion since Martin Margiela launched the label in 1988.

"Martin Margiela: In His Own Words" sees the infamously secretive designer openly talk about the brand from a personal perspective, highlighting his decisions to remain out of the public eye and reject the celebrity status that so often comes part and parcel of being a high-profile fashion designer.

Prepped for release on 10th April, this documentary features interviews with Jean Paul Gaultier, Carine Roitfeld, Cathy Horyn and Olivier Saillard, centring around the undeniable influence and lasting impact Maison Martin Margiela has had on the greater fashion world.
