26 April 2023Nike reissues the Air Max Plus “Black Scream Green” as part of the heritage-inspired “Icons” pack.
The Nike Air Max Plus — or TN, as it’s more commonly known — represents a legendary footnote in the history of Air Max. After all, it was the first sneaker to debut the groundbreaking Tuned Air technology, which incorporated two hemispheres in the sole and Air unit for improved stability. Its looks matched the bold technology, too, which was inspired by the Floridian sunsets experienced by its designer, Sean McDowell.
The sneaker would ultimately go on to become a subcultural legend, loved by movements that matched its bold, uncompromising energy. This year, Nike is revisiting the legendary sneaker as part of the Icons pack, reissuing it in an era-typical colourway dubbed “Black Scream Green”. It’s an archivally-derived colour palette that only adds to the exuberance of the lauded sneaker, with gradient blue and white across the uppers and vibrant green hits at the tongues, Swoosh and sole unit.
