adidas Consortium Workshop AW18 - Launching 8th August

adidas Consortium Workshop delivers two fresh silhouettes for AW18 dubbed the Falcon and the SS2G - launching at END. on August 8th 2018.

German sneaker monolith, adidas developed the concept for their 'Workshop' programme as a place for exploring the pure story of adidas Originals through the ultimate expression of creativity and innovation. A place to champion out-of-the-box ideas, the resulting collections stand as totem poles of function, innovation, and culture.

Having focussed last season on retro-futurism with the 'A//D' packs, this season leaves the folly of parallel dimensions behind and comes back down to earth, looking to 90s Wall Street sartorialism as the launch pad for new-wave sneaker ideation. Opting to undertake an ultra-refined exploration of normcore, a micro-turned-macro trend which exploded in the wake of Demna Gvasalia's appointment at Balenciaga, adidas' AW18 Workshop collection looks to the rigours of daily life, to equip wearers with chunky sneakers complete with the necessary tooling required to survive a day on the corporate grind.

Bringing the shoes playful qualities to life, the Wes Anderson-esque lookbook features a deeply intoxicating colour palette and sharply tailored suiting, a backdrop against which the stark white of the sneakers can shine.

Two models - dubbed The Falcon and the SS2G - emerge from the workshop; each a fresh example of the multi-faceted requirements we place on contemporary lifestyle sneaks. From rugged, outdoorsy functionality to sleek, primeknit performance; from throwback colour schemes to mix-and-match silhouette combinations: the SS2G and the Falcon leave wearers prepared for everything, but free to do nothing at all. It's 2018, after all.

The adidas Consortium Workshop AW18 collection will launch at END. on August 8th.
