AKILA Eyewear

AKILA has become a go‑to name in the conversation around eyewear that uses eco‑friendly materials — proving that modern design and responsible production can sit comfortably together. From its Los Angeles base, the label crafts AKILA sunglasses and optical frames in small batches, using plant‑based cellulose acetate for its durability and rich colour. Each pair is handmade, hand‑polished and reinforced with stainless‑steel cores, giving the silhouettes structure without losing that easy, everyday wearability.

Optical‑grade lenses block 100% UVA/UVB rays as standard, with styles incorporating recycled content. Minimal branding keeps the focus on shape: thick retro cuts, classic black and tortoiseshell colourways, and playful options with tinted or translucent finishes, with the AKILA sunglasses Apollo style a favourite for many.
