Founded in 1948, Italian sportswear giant Diadora is the brainchild of Marcello Danieli. Originally focusing on the outdoors, the labelās first product was a pair of mountain boots.Ā
Quickly adapting its focus to sportswear, the 1960ās marked the brandās venture into the world of football. With Dutch - and then AC Milan - striker Marco van Basten the face of the company it's no surprise the label skyrocketed, especially when he released his own personalised Diadora football boots.
Continuously invested in manufacturing and attention to detail, Diadora trainers are crafted with the key factors of Italian craftsmanship and expertise. To keep implementing this strategy, the label created The Diadora Research Centre. Based in Italy, it aims to create Diadora shoes that have both performance and the environment in mind.
Teaming up with athletes, Diadora are committed to creating footwear that meets high standards of performance whilst also using sustainable materials. This ethos is reflected with the Diadora Camaro, originally designed as a running shoe, the latest iteration contrasts textured uppers with depth in the overlays. Fusing the worlds of performance and streetwear, Diadora trainers such as the N9002 are now reimagined through a casualwear lens. Crafted using premium materials, Diadora logos still take pride of place on the sidewalls.
