California-based label Monitaly is part of Japanese designer Yuki Matsuda's highly regarded Meg Company which delivers functionally sympathetic recreations of military inspired classics season after season. Spring Summer 2013 is no different with a reworking of their classic Parka design. Constructed from a lightweight cotton twill, this durable fabric has been washed to give it an interesting, uneven patina. Functionality is the main focus of this piece with a high stance hood with adjustable drawstrings, two bellow snap closure front pockets, two way zip with snap 'PULL-THE-DOTS' button fastening, snap cuffs and an internal patch pocket with external riveting.
