Owned and operated by founder Manuele Bianchi, Casbia are forging a cult following of sneaker heads on the hunt for premium footwear that sits masterfully at the intersection between heritage technique and modern aesthetic sensibility.
Blending the latest in technological innovation, with a sculpture-focussed approach to traditional footwear design, Casbia's multidisciplinary design references converge to create forward thinking sneakers with a graphic flavour.
Partnering with heritage sportswear brand Champion, Casbia debut a brand new silhouette for AW17 dubbed the AWOL Atlanta.
Each colourway features its own selection of luxury textiles, with different iterations of tumbled leather and nubuck utilised across the line. A dual-asymmetrical speed lace system and zipper closure offer the best of utility and aesthetic appeal. The curved YKK zipper is ergonomically engineered for the best in comfort and performance. Embossed and embroidered branding details from both halves of the collaboration add an additional touch of opulence to the premium basketball silhouette.
The upper sits atop an architectural midsole, finished with Champion branding to the outsole which takes design cues from a vintage Champion Basketball sneaker from ’91.
