Following last year’s mountain-scaling collab, Snow Peak and New Balance’s concept-driven Tokyo Design Studio take inspiration from the summit once again, basing the Niobium Concept 1’s sage green upper on mossy rock formations. It’s named after the periodic table’s 41st element, which is known for its versatility and resilience— apt, considering the style’s modular, three-in-one design. The waterproof eVent® liner makes it the perfect fishing boot, complete with ballistic coating, a weatherproof toe cap, and a hook for clipping on your gaiters. A secondary sockliner can be worn alone as a tent slipper, or swapped into the shoe to create a slip-on camping clog. It’s overlaid with supple suede and black TPU panels for extra heel support and, calling on NB’s high-tech sportswear heritage, equipped with the MT801 trail runner’s ABZORB® sole unit.
