Adsum was founded in Brooklyn in 2015 by Pete Macnee, underpinned by an aesthetic that draws heavily from America’s Northeastern region: a refined approach to styling that blends laidback streetwear, prep and outerwear seamlessly. The label eschews anything overt and trend focused for a more considered take on clothing, prioritising things like subtle detail, materials and timelessness.

For their Winter ’21 collection, the label heads to Vermont, borrowing from the state’s laidback approach to styling and its integral ties to utilitarian garments. The collection consists of premium outerwear that leans in on these roots, like an M97 jacket with a split placket construction — inspired by horse riding garments — or the down-filled puffer jackets for warmth.

The label’s usual laidback, workwear-inspired shirting gets a feature, too, as well as premium, heavy-gauge knitwear elevated with intricate details and patterns.
