adidas’s latest ZX pack builds on — or strips back, depending how you look at it — one of its more experimental releases from 2020: the Inside Out from the A-ZX series. It’s called the XZ 0006 and, just like its name, the model is completely inverted. Panels of perforated, exposed foam and structured translucent overlays give the cyan upper an almost prototypical look, and that’s compounded further by zig-zag stitch accents and mesh detailing on the heel counter. One thing that’s not deconstructed, though, is the sole unit. True to the OG ZX 6000’s running heritage, it’s built with a layer of EVA cushioning and that all-important Torsion arch support.
