Since 1978, Renzo Rosso’s Diesel has built its own world. For over four decades, the Italian label has used disruptive campaigns to poke at taboos, flip narratives, and champion individuality on a global stage. The brand lived out its infancy in the world of denim, built upon the idea of becoming the alternative by rewriting the playbook with humour and irony.

Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens between 2020 and 2026, that spirit sharpened. Martens channelled the irreverence of Diesel’s early years with a more experimental, architectural edge, pushing denim into new territories between streetwear, couture craftsmanship and progressive fabrication. In his hands, Diesel’s original rule‑breaking attitude became a modern engine for innovation, ready for a new generation. Departing after the Spring/Summer 2027 show in Milan, the future of Diesel is set up to only get brighter.
