THEDSA X END. "UNLEARN TO DRAW"

A drawing class with Aitor Throup at END. London - 8PM, Thursday 10th March.

THEDSA X END. "UNLEARN TO DRAW" at END. London
Almost 10 years since the inception of Aitor Throup’s rigorous daily drawing practice, the conceptual artist and designer will for the first time provide a real-time insight into his highly personal process, and the deeper ethos behind his sketches.

Merging neuroscience with philosophical and spiritual principles, Throup’s intention is not to teach people how to draw; but rather for people to ‘un-learn’ the limitations that have stopped us from drawing freely from our innermost space in everyday life.

Aitor Throup’s drawings serve as his daily meditations, which have provided the artist with a tangible way to manage his mental health through applied mindfulness and a conscious differentiation between left and right brain activity through the drawing process.

This unconventional drawing class aims at helping people develop the skills to be able to not only activate their generally dormant ‘right-brain’ through the process of drawing from their imagination; but to also utilise their left brain as a secondary tool in order to achieve a sense of wholeness.
