Celebrating the reissue of the '70s terrace shoe classic, END. hosted an 11-a-side football match as an ode to the adidas Malmo.
Paying homage to important locations throughout Europe, adidas’ famed City Series was originally released throughout the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, quickly cultivating an audience of die-hard fans. Representing the iconic colours of the Swedish flag, the Malmo instantly became a favourite amongst football casuals for its blend of eye-catching colours and a desirable low silhouette.
Organised to celebrate the re-issue of the iconic Malmo sneaker, END. have teamed up with adidas and London's Soho Warriors to offer an ode to the yellow and blue terrace shoe. Playing an 11-a-side match with teams comprising of Soho Warriors members and friends of the club, the 31st October saw the two teams battle it out. Kitted out in football strips that reflected the OG Malmo's release year and the year of the reissue respectively, the Warriors '19 came out on top against the Warriors '78, clinching victory with a last minute goal to make the result a close 2 - 1.
An exhibition of sporting prowess, Soho Warriors, adidas and END. ensured that this match celebrated the positive impact of football and the legendary status of the adidas Malmo City Series.
