Atelier de Production et de Création – or A.P.C. – is an internationally revered Parisian brand, built with beautiful, raw, indigo denim and immaculate tailoring at its heart. Credited with setting the stage for the proliferation of classic menswear styles, reinvigorated with a contemporary flavour suited to the current streetwear market - A.P.C.'s consistent delivery of well-conceived menswear staples has inspired the success of brands including Aimé Leon Dore and Our Legacy.
This season, A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou resets the agenda, taking it upon himself to adorn a limited run of jeans with a paint-splattered aesthetic – applied by hand at A.P.C.’s headquarters on the rue Madame in central Paris.
One-of-a-kind, these jeans are produced in line with A.P.C.'s worn-out Butler concept. Founded in 2010, this initiative encourages customers to return their old A.P.C. jeans, ready to be revived, restored, and given a new lease of life. Each pair is broken in naturally over time with many years of loving wear and tear and comes branded with the initials of their former owner.
It is from this stock of pre-loved pairs that Touitou has sourced the canvasses for his latest paint-splattered project. Repaired, washed, splashed, dried, ironed and imbued with human movement and artistry, each love-worn pair is truly unique and is marked with a scrolling "Jean Touitou" signature to the interior – a finishing seal of approval and quality.
Embrace the workwear renaissance and sport a piece of fashion history this season with these one-off Butler jeans, available at END. from the 18th of January.
