MONCLER “BORN TO PROTECT”

With Moncler’s “Born to Protect” collection, the label creates performance outerwear using lower-impact materials and eco-minded sourcing techniques.

In 1952, in Monestier-de-Clermont, Grenoble, France, Moncler was born with a clear focus: to protect individuals from the harsh, mountainous environment surrounding the label. The principles underpinning that — of protection, innovation and adaptation — are those that form the pillars of the label’s “Born to Protect” collection.

With “Born to Protect”, the label emphasises not only protection of wearers from unforgiving conditions, but protection of the environment, too. For the collection, Moncler uses lower-impact materials like recycled nylon and polyester — which includes everything from the garment’s outer shells right down to the fine details like logos and zippers — while wool and down are sourced according to specific sustainability standards.
