It’s no secret that Action Bronson has a love for New Balance and you'll often find him raving about the Boston-based brand’s comfort. Off the back of the “Baklava” collaboration, the New York born and bred rapper-songwriter-wrestler-chef-tv presenter has been busy cooking up a gem. Enter the “Lapis Lazuli” 990V6, possibly the biggest release of the year and one that we’ll happily set our alarms for. You’ll instantly notice an absence of grey tones here (for once) and instead rich blue jewel shades, adopted from the metamorphic rock, dress the multifaceted uppers in mesh, leather and pigskin suede. Even the midsole gets involved, with a flash of azure at the chunky ENCAP midsole packed with FuelCell foam cushioning. Rounding off this colourful release is "Baklava x New Balance” co-branding across the tongue and insole, giving a shout-out to Bronson’s online store Baklava Flea Market while Made in USA finishes off the heel.
