Since being founded in 2016, MSCHF has been centred around pushing the envelope as far as it possibly can, colouring outside of the lines and created product that escapes the pigeonhole of categorisation and definability. From the Wavy Baby sneaker produced in partnership with Tyga, to the Gobstomper released with Jimmy Fallon, one thing remains consistent with MSCHF’s releases: disruptiveness.
Disruptive is certainly the way to describe the latest from the collective, which mirrors the tongue-in-cheek approach to product favoured by MSCHF. Enter the MSCHF AC1. It’s essentially a supportive walking boot reworked and contextualised through a fashion lens, with a moulded outer shell, neoprene inner bootie and a sneaker-like, dual airbag sole unit. MSCHF branding features scattered throughout, too, to really drive home the subversive aesthetic.
