Carried out by a handful of skilled workers and named ka-ryu in Japanese, Shoes Like Pottery’s manufacturing process involves each shoe being kiln-fired, giving its rubber sole a uniquely flexible and highly durable finish. Hand stitched in Japan, this pink canvas pair of low sneakers are decorated with a wax stamp sole decal depicting the uchide no kozuchi – a magical mallet that’s steeped in traditional mythology.
