Au Départ

As European rail travel began to flourish in the early 1830s, Parisian brand Au Départ embarked on its journey. Its first boutique opened directly across the street from the newly built Gare du Nord railway station — a strategic location that allowed the luxury trunk-maker to easily serve aristocrats and travelers who were taking the train. Crafting the finest leather goods, Au Départ situated itself at the very epicentre of Paris’ burgeoning sense of opulence and grandeur at the time.

Generations later, Au Départ continues to epitomise quality and elegance with its leather goods. Its signature hexagonal monogram graces tote bags, card holders, wash bags and luggage tags — cleverly designed to carry a sense of balance, beauty and symmetry.
