Vans Vault x Ralph Steadman Gonzovationist OG Classic Slip-on LXYellow & Blue
Veteran artist Ralph Steadman’s work has sat alongside the words of Hunter S. Thompson, graced the album covers of the Who and Frank Zappa and even decorated a First Class stamp. Now, Steadman turns his attention to a collaboration with Vans Vault, raising awareness of endangered animal species. The result is this canvas Slip On, with ‘Gonzovationist’ script – a term coined by the artist and Ceri Levy to describe an alternative approach to conservation – printed across each toe box. Vans’ SoCal spirit isn’t lost, though, as the model-synonymous checkerboard pattern around the collar proves.
