BENNY THE BUTCHER - "TANA TALK 4"
Dropping the fourth instalment of his “Tana Talk” album series, Buffalo, New York rapper Benny The Butcher offers up 12 tracks of East Coast hip-hop. Brimming with his signature gritty flow and with high profile features from the Griselda Records crew and beyond, Benny continues to cement his status as the underground’s finest.
DAVE - "STARLIGHT"
Landing at number 1 in the UK's charts as soon as it dropped, Dave's latest single "Starlight" sees the South London superstar continue to deliver, showcasing a lighter side. Driven with an angelic vocal sample, Dave raps with braggadocious confidence and undeniable charm.
FLOATING POINTS - "VOCODER"
Following on from last year's seminal collaborative album with Pharoah Sanders, "Promises", Floating Points returns to the dance floor with the hard-hitting "Vocoder". Pairing rhythmic synths, skittering percussion and thumping kicks, Sam Shepherd continues to elucidate the breadth and scope of his talents.
CROATIAN AMOR - "PAPER BIRDS"
Ahead of his upcoming full-length on Copenhagen imprint Posh Isolation, “Remember Rainbow Bridge”, Croatian Amor shares “Paper Birds”. Blending ambient with trip-hop and experimental pop, Loke Rahbek heads further into the rabbit hole of myriad influences. Enlisting Alto Aria and CTM, the track drifts serenely with effortless cool, while a quiet thread of unease runs just under the surface.
COOKIN SOUL & LORD APEX - "OFF THE STRENGTH"
Teaming up for the first time, British MC Lord Apex and Spanish producer/DJ Cookin Soul share “Off The Strength” - a sample led album blending soulful beats with Apex’s smooth and melodic bars. Offering old-school hip-hop steeze with a modern sensibility, “Off The Strength” champions a crate diggers approach to production and lyrical complexity.
