END. reports on the hottest sneaker styles seen on the streets at London Fashion Week Men's AW19 presentations - featuring footwear grails from Nike, Balenciaga, YEEZY and more
Following up on our coverage of the best street style at the LFM AW19 presentations, END. presents a distillation of the best sneaker styles from the British capital. Not known to disappoint in the sneaker-stakes, London delivers once more with a slew of the hottest footwear styles pounding the pavements ready to be captured by END.’s fast-fingered photo-correspondent, Robert Spangle.
Emerging as this season's clear victor in the sneaker battle royale, Nike's recent Epic React 87 pack with Jun Takahashi's Undercover was represented across all of the aquatic-inspired colourways; a marked departure from the chunky sneaker silhouettes which have dominated the conversation over the past few seasons - a signal that sneaker trends may be moving back towards more streamlined and lightweight sensibilities.
Chunky sneakers were not without representation, with Martine Rose's hotly anticipated iteration of the classic Air Monarch making waves around the British capital. Demna's Balenciaga Triple S was on show in myriad colourways, joined now with its Trail Runner sibling from the iconic French house.
Other noteworthy appearances included the latest YEEZY release - the YEEZY Boost 700 'Static' - and Virgil's new Air Force 1 in collaboration with Nike.
