Dries Van Noten founded his eponymous label in 1958, drawing on his family’s rich heritage as master tailors and teaming it with his grandfather’s passion for reworking second-hand and vintage clothing, crafting them into pieces suitable for the contemporary wardrobe. The SS’16 collection is informed by an imaginary meeting of screen icon Marilyn Monroe with surrealist Salvador Dali; two creative provocateurs offering an exploration of contrasts.
The Hidaka Sweat is crafted from a loopback jersey printed with an all-over palm tree design, finished with a contrasting black ribbed hem, cuffs and neckline.
