A Ma Maniére and Air Jordan’s ongoing relationship is one that goes much deeper than just sneakers, with James Whitner using the partnership as a tool for exploring rich storytelling and spotlighting marginalised communities. The boutique’s latest partnership with Air Jordan follows that path of familiarity, with a campaign centred around celebrating the Black community's power and strength in its multitude of identities.

The sneaker itself is as you’d expect from A Ma Maniére, paying homage to the design codes of the legendary Air Jordan 5 while elevating it with an emphasis on details and materials. The sneaker, which is dubbed “Dawn”, is rendered in a shade of off-white across its premium suede uppers, then accented with a bevy of elevated details — ranging from a monogram pattern at the netting to A Ma Maniére’s logo at the tongues.
