Reebok x Maison Margiela Project 0 Club C Trompe L'OeilBlack
Whether you’re a sportswear titan like Reebok or a luxury fashion house like Maison Margiela, one thing is true of your design process: every piece starts out as a pattern. And while that’s usually mapped out on paper, the partners make that blueprint a little more visible on their latest sneaker collaboration, a Club C. The buttery black leather upper is inspired by trompe l’oeil — a forced perspective illusion that makes objects appear three-dimensional — replacing the usual court-focused overlays and perforations with printed white strokes that resemble tailor’s chalk. It retains the model’s sporty rubber outsole, though, and is completed with Margiela’s bar-stitched signature at the heel.
