SPUNGE

After 15 years learning, observing and collaborating in the footwear industry, Salehe Bembury strikes out on his own. SPUNGE is a vehicle for the talented designer to create on his own terms, a space to “explore, experiment and evolve.” Founded with the philosophy of “function meets nature”, the sneaker world is poised to see Bembury’s independent output come to fruition. 

The clue’s in the name: SPUNGE sneakers are the result of everything Bembury has absorbed, soaked up and taken in from many years of experience in the industry. The highly-anticipated inaugural release is the Osmosis Runner, a brand new silhouette with a proprietary Squish Tech cushioning system — inspired by squeeze toys. Ripstop, mesh and a moisture-wicking lining come together up top, fulfilling the goal of putting function before all else.
