9 June 2023Plucked from the archive, Nike go back to Tinker Hatfield’s ‘Lost Sketch’ for inspiration on their latest Big Bubble Air Max 1 sneaker.
Following on from Air Max Day 2023’s “Big Bubble” iteration of the legendary Air Max 1 sneaker, Nike return to the unique version of the silhouette with the “Lost Sketch” style. Concocted around details pulled from one of Tinker Hatfield’s long forgotten about notebooks, this Air Max 1 sneaker draws influence from the designer’s first renderings of the infamous and beloved style.
Daubed in a combination of Smoke Grey, Diffused Blue and Indigo Haze, the Big Bubble Air Max 1 is further embellished with Safari patterning across its mudguards, while an aged midsole further introduces a vintage feel to proceedings. Complete with a handstyle ‘AIR’ logo printed above the air bubble, this sneaker blends sketches from the sneaker history books with essential style.
