END. PRESENTS 'IVY LEAGUE' WITH BEAMS PLUS & FRACAP

Inspired by the iconic nature of Ivy League style, this collaborative collection sees the UK brand and retailer team up with Japan’s legendary Beams Plus and Italian shoemakers Fracap to delve into the world of preppy design with a British twist.

A pillar of 20th century American fashion, Ivy League aesthetics quickly became popular across the globe, with particular attention towards the approach to dressing forming in Japan throughout the 1950s and beyond. Heavily entrenched within youth culture at the time, the style combined high and low cultural reference points to cultivate a visual identity that reflected University education, sporting excellence and a sophisticated attitude. Continuing to remain embedded within the modern menswear canon, Ivy League’s influence can be traced throughout the past 70 years, with its melting pot of culture enduring as a symbol of quintessential menswear.

Tapping into this shared history, END. and Beams Plus present their 8-piece capsule inspired by the North-Eastern American college campus style, embellished with a subtle British inflection. Aligning with Ivy League’s athletic obsession, END. look to their British heritage for inspiration, presenting a cricket knit polo and 2 pleat corduroy pants that nod to traditional cricket whites. A patchwork flannel shirt, check cap and patchwork print rugby shirt introduce a riff on END. and Beams’ previous collaborations, while a duo of patch logo crew sweats offer a compelling twist on classic collegiate branding, honouring the collaboration with “B+E” across the chest in Dress Gordon tartan.

Completing the collection with a duo of footwear styles from Fracap, END. transform the M61 shoe with heavy pebbled brown leather and white ponyhair across the make-ups respectively. In-keeping with the collections Ivy League vision each pair is detailed with a commando sole, hiking eyelets and goodyear welted soles for an elevated finish.
