Originally developed in 1996 to give elite athletes the sensation of barefoot running, Nike’s unconventional split-toe silhouette – inspired in part by Kenya’s Great Rift Valley – returns as part of their Breathe series in a slew of vibrant colourways.
This sneaker-sandal hybrid is now made from environmentally friendly mesh uppers with extra-large perforations for supreme ventilation and summer-ready wearability. Comfort and support are ensured through the use of a lightweight Phylon midsole, offering impact protection to a style that wasn’t originally heavily advertised due to its specialisation.
