Collaborations

END. X ADIDAS TORSION SUPER "EQUALS"

Celebrating equality and inclusion within the fashion industry, END. & adidas present their collaborative Torsion Super "Equals" sneaker pack.

Following on from “Social Cycling” earlier this year, longstanding partners END. and adidas reunite with “Equals”: a two-piece collection aimed at celebrating equality and inclusion in the fashion industry. The sneaker of choice is the adidas Torsion Super, marking the first collaborative take on the silhouette.

“I’ve been modelling for five years, I love wearing the clothes and being on shoots, getting my hair and make-up done. Being on the cover of Vogue was really fun!” Ellie
“Kids see what they can become, so if they see someone like themselves, it opens another pathway for them in life instead of being pigeonholed. They can dream bigger.” Samson

The two-piece collection represents a premium rework of the inline shoe, with a heavy emphasis placed on materials, details and colour palettes. The sneaker itself is a nod to one of the most sought-after eras of adidas lifestyle running shoes, the ZX and Torsion-Series, taking cues from the Torsion Mystic, Eurosuper, Torsion Symmetry and ZX4000 to create a non-archival silhouette.

“Modelling was traditionally one type of person, but there are so many different people in the world who need to be represented. It’s more about the actual person now, rather than feeling tokenistic.” Monty

The sneakers arrive in a duo of colourways and material executions, in addition to bespoke detailing to further the collaborative look. The first sneaker is constructed using suede, nubuck and spacer mesh in shades of navy blue, pink and teal, while the second sneaker is made using suede and smooth leather in an inverted palette of off-white, teal and light pink. To nod to the collection’s theme, each sneaker is detailed with “Equals” in cursive font and END. at one tongue, in contrast with adidas’ iconic Trefoil logo worked into the other.

“I’m so happy and content with my skin that I feel like I can do anything. When you’re genuinely happy within yourself, you don’t care what other people think.” Jasroop
“I like to meet new people through modelling, the other models at Zebedee have become like family.” Kofi
“Representation is fundamental as there is a distortion of what normal looks like, we need to represent a variety of people to create a new standard of beauty.” Cesca
“The industry is diversifying the look they’re going for, it’s less generic. It’s giving everyone the opportunity to stand out.” Fikayo

As part of the release, END. will make a donation to Difference North East. Difference North East works to change perceptions of disability. It is a charity founded in 2017 that fights for equality for disabled people and an end to discrimination on the grounds of disability.

The END. x adidas “Equals” collection will launch via END. Launches on the 28th July.
