WTAPS are influenced by alternative subculture. Rebellious movements have donned Dr. Martens for six decades. Both brands strongly value utilitarian tradition. The two coming together for the Remastered Series’ 11th instalment seems only natural, then. The boot is still unmistakably a 1460, but it’s modified in line with the Japanese label’s aesthetic. Elasticated straps and nylon webbing fastened with clip buckles replace the usual laces. Embossed spec branding and the exposed steel toe cap are a military-inspired nod to the model’s working-class roots. It’s completed with DM’s trademark AirWair™ sole, but the welt stitching is black rather than usual yellow to maintain the combat-ready look.
