TOGA has spent decades operating in a world of its own. Founded by Yasuko Furuta in 1997, the Tokyo label draws from an eclectic mix of references, from British subcultures and Western tailoring to Japanese craftsmanship and avant-garde design. It’s design that feels almost familiar at first glance, then completely unexpected upon closer inspection.

Furuta has built her reputation on disrupting convention, introducing unexpected proportions, masculine influences and offbeat details that challenge traditional ideas of femininity.
