Nottingham-based Universal Works is a contemporary menswear label deeply rooted in its British, working-class family upbringing. Launched by David Keyte in 2009, the idea was brought to life at David’s kitchen table with a drive to create honest and timeless menswear clothing, underpinned by a deep appreciation of musical and sporting subcultures. 

Over the past 30 years, Universal Works has become a staple in menswear, known for key styles including its signature shirt jackets, gilets and outerwear. The silhouettes within the Universal Works menswear collections stay true to the on-going tried-and-tested framework, nodding to its workwear-inspired roots and love of well-crafted design by avoiding the fads of up-coming trends despite the ever-changing world of fashion surrounding them.
