Moncler—short for Monestier‑de‑Clermont, a small mountain village near Grenoble—began in 1952 when René Ramillon and André Vincent started creating gear built for real Alpine conditions. Their early output was purely functional: quilted sleeping bags, lined hooded capes, and durable tents made for high‑altitude workers who needed protection above all else. That technical mindset became the backbone of Moncler men’s design long before the brand entered the luxury space.

The mountain DNA never left; it simply adapted. Today, men’s Moncler pieces feel as relevant in the city as they once did on the slopes, whether it’s a men’s Moncler coat built for winter, a lightweight Moncler men’s jacket for in‑between seasons, or a Moncler tee that slots into everyday wear.

Outerwear still sits at the centre of the brand, those quilted, down‑filled nylon silhouettes are unmistakable, but Moncler for men now extends far beyond its iconic puffers. Soft knits, technical layers, gilets, trousers and accessories complete a full wardrobe.
