THE ADIDAS CONSORTIUM CUP FINAL VOTING IS OPEN NOW

For the final of adidas' inaugural consortium cup, END. looks to the utopian aesthetics depicited in science-fiction cinema.

Following on from our success in the first three rounds of adidas' inaugural Consortium Cup — a sneaker design competition where you choose the winner — END. has made it into the final round of the competition where we turn our attention to the all-new Ozmillen model.

Round 3 saw us look to the "Future" and the dystopian vision of the world as depicted in contemporary science-fiction cinema, with the theme of round 4 representing a further extension of this. Round 4 looks to "Beyond" where society aims to rebuild from post-apocalyptic dystopia, creating a clean, unpolluted and utopian aesthetic derived from famous science-fiction movies. The design language is centred around function and uniformity, presenting a vision of human transformation that's driven by technology.

The sneaker — which is inspired by Ozweego models from adidas' archive, namely the Ozweego II and 2001 iteration — is designed with elements drawn from tech and nature, with details like loose threaded stripes, crinkled leather and reflective nylon.
