MAHARISHI X IRAK

Maharishi and Irak reunite to combine Hardy Blechman’s signature codes with Earsnot’s colourful tag.

MAHARISHI X IRAK

In the late ‘90s, a graffiti crew began gaining notoriety in New York, a collective of like-minded creatives renowned for their uncompromising approach to street art. That collective was IRAK, a group who connected the dots between artwork, music, fashion and skateboarding seamlessly. At the centre of this collective is Kunle Martins, aka Earsnot, the founder of IRAK and a mainstay in the underground art scene of New York.

For SS22, Hardy Blechman’s Maharishi and Kunle Martins reconnect — a longstanding partnership stretching back 20 years — to create a capsule featuring Earsnot’s famous rainbow tag. The collection is comprised of pieces that lean in on the signature design language inherent to Maharishi, like intricate detailing and pacifist military codes, combining these with Earsnot’s distinctive artistic sensibility.
