Glasgow, Newcastle upon Tyne and Manchester are all cities with a distinctive, yet different musical legacy. Rooted in grassroots music venues yet reaching the lofty heights of international stardom, each city in the United Kingdom has been a pillar of the country’s musical output.

Building on this lasting legacy, END., adidas and NTS radio have joined forces to move the spotlight onto the underground talent that has been cultivating in these cities. Moving in the underground, but with creativity and unbridled talent that will surely see these artists ascend to acclaim in the respective musical spheres, Original Sounds seeks to spotlight the iconoclastic presence of each of these artists.

In Manchester, Abena, MBB and Synna G will deliver their high energy dancefloor workouts at our store on St. Mary’s Gate, with a headline performance from R&B/hip-hop duo Children of Zeus. In Glasgow, DJs Bellarosa, Maveen and Plantainchipps will be performing alongside DJ and producer Sam Gellaitry, delivering a diverse combination of bass music, jungle, dancehall, afrobeat. Representing our home city of Newcastle upon Tyne, performances from DJs Jacklyn and Sketchy Rida will take us from robust techno to ecstatic jungle and drum’n’bass, while multi-disciplinary artist and musician ZINZILE will perform ahead of London-based Newcastle superfan CASISDEAD.
