Asics x TRICO 2020 Shigeyuki Mitsui x Shigeyuki Kunii Gel-Lyte III OGWhite & Tricolour
Shigeyuki Mitsui, designer of ASICS’ GEL Lyte III, and Shigeyuki Kunii, creative director of Tokyo-based retailer Mita, come together to celebrate the 30th birthday of the silhouette and their shared Japanese heritage. Reminiscent of the nation’s flag, a white suede base is accented by a striking red toe, while a hit of blue on the medial sidewall branding subtly completes Mita’s go-to tricolour palette. Secured with a central zip, pulling together the iconic split-tongue design for easy wear without tying the laces, it’s finished with the retailer’s famous chain-link fencing across the insole and ‘Far East’ visible through the outsole.
