TERRACE MARTIN – “DRONES”
Terrace Martin has a deep appreciation for an array of genres, which is reflected in his latest album, “Drones”. The 13-track piece moves seamlessly through a plethora of sounds — from hip hop and jazz to classical and house — and taps into legendary artists like Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar in the process.
CURTIS HARDING – “IF WORDS WERE FLOWERS”
Curtis Harding’s third solo album, “If Words Were Flowers”, serves as an extension of the artist’s self-proclaimed “slop ‘n’ soul” sound. Multiple genres, ranging from hip hop to jazz, are referenced throughout the 11-track piece, all of which are explored through Harding’s soul-leaning lens.
AMINÉ – “TWOPOINTFIVE”
With his latest project, “TWOPOINTFIVE”, Aminé focuses on having fun, with spontaneity and creative freedom made the priority. The Portland rapper nods to hyperpop, R&B and hip hop throughout the album, utilising a combination of playful vocals and experimental instrumentals.
SABA – “FEARMONGER (FEAT DAOUD)”
Saba partners with Daoud to create “Fearmonger”: a single centred around fear and the power it holds over the Chicago rapper. Upbeat, funk-inspired instrumentals are used throughout the track, providing the backdrop for deep, introspective lyrics that shine a light on the song’s theme.
LUDWIG A.F. – "BLACKBIRD"
Ludwig A.F.’s latest release, “Blackbird”, epitomises the German producer’s experimental take on electronic music. Uplifting pads are combined with his signature breakbeats, creating a track that showcases the artist’s relaxing, yet energetic, approach to production.
