CURREN$Y & HARRY FRAUD – “REGATTA”
Curren$y and long-time collaborator, Harry Fraud, come together to create “Regatta”, marking the veteran rapper’s fourth release in just over two months. THEON CROSS – “INTRA-I”
Theon Cross’ second album, “Intra-I”, is a diverse, interwoven tapestry of sounds. The deep bass of Cross’ signature tuba is utilised in a way that ultimately defies genres, blending jazz with everything from dub and soca to hip hop and grime.
PLANET ASIA – “RULE OF THIRDS”
Planet Asia’s latest album, “Rule of Thirds”, sees Evidence — a fellow West Coast legend and long-term collaborator — brought on board. The thirteen-track collection combines old-school beats with the Cali Rapper’s underground vocals, as well as guest verses from Domo Genesis, Rome Streetz and Evidence himself.
COOKIN’ SOUL – “DOOM TRIBUTE BEATS”
Cookin’ Soul continues to pay tribute to the life and work of legendary rapper and producer, MF DOOM, with “DOOM Tribute Beats”. The ten-track compilation nods to the late emcee’s distinctive instrumental sound, combining experimental beats with soulful samples.
NIGHTMARES ON WAX – “SHOUT OUT! TO FREEDOM”
Nightmares on Wax’s ninth album, “Shout Out! To Freedom”, sees the artist take a deeper, introspective approach to production. The project is centred around an exploration of freedom and its meaning, with multiple genres tapped into — including jazz, soul and hip hop — in the process.
